He had been walking for hours. Tired steps drag themselves down the path of dead leaves in varying shades of brown, the crisp sounds of them being crushed echoed in his ears. Truth be told, Eric wanted to sit down and rest, but there was no place to do so and he was pretty much trapped in this weird area with no way out. The photographer could have sworn that he walked the very same path upwards to the top just earlier that day, treading on the path walked out by humans such as himself, only to find that the same winding path downwards seemed to lead in loops.
And that’s freaky.
His camera long packed into the comfortable confines of the cushioned bag, the man re-adjusted the strap of his bag as he stalled in his footsteps, huffing. Brown orbs trailed upwards to the midnight blue, trying to spot a star that might just lead the way back down to no avail - of all things he just had to be stuck in the area with lush canopy above him. Blinking when a slow crunching could be heard behind him, the man straightened his back, lightly slipping one hand from the backpack. If anything - or anyone strike him, the raven would make sure they’ll pay with a hard smack in their face, but when the sounds was gone and he was left in a state of confusion, a voice rang out behind him and he turned around with a swift motion, bag swinging only to find a familiar face.
Awkward.
Seeing that the sun’s setting in another hour or so, Yunho figured that he should probably start heading back to the resort. He wasn’t exactly good with directions, but he reckoned that he shouldn’t be all that bad in remembering routes – even if he did follow the other tourists for the way up. It wasn’t normally in his nature to enjoy such a hike, then again he thought he could use a change in environments; and it was safe to say that he was still pretty much enthralled by everything that nature had to offer, especially the way everything seemingly slowed down in comparison to the pace back in the city, effectively setting him in a rather relaxed mood.
Until realization dawned upon him that he had been walking for the past half an hour, and something didn’t exactly feel right about this path that he’d been following almost mindlessly. Scanning his surroundings, he thought he was about to lose it with every tree appearing to be the same, as if he was walking in a maze full of mirrors. He slipped a hand into his pocket, reaching for his phone instinctively only to pause briefly, realizing that he’d promptly decided that he needed to get away from exasperating calls regarding work. Clearly aggravated by the situation that he’d unknowingly landed himself in, he decided to try his luck, heading in no particular direction in an attempt to search for someone, anyone in fact. Pausing abruptly in his steps, his attention was diverted in the direction of a figure that wasn’t far away from him. With hopes that the other could possibly know the right direction, he decided to set aside any awkwardness that he was holding as he approached the figure. Greeted by a swinging bag just as he reached out to tap the other’s shoulder, his reflexes pushed himself backwards, successfully dodging the hit by an inch or two. “Wow, what in the –” He shifted his gaze up to meet the other’s, only to pause somewhat awkwardly as he found his roommate standing right in front of him, apparently just as startled as he was. “Hey, uh. Eric, right?"
